About Image Gallery
This online musuem and archive holds over three thousand copies of photographs, paintings and building plans. These images date back to the foundation of the faculty in 1856 and have been collected from archives, staff and alumni. If you have a photograph you would be happy to let us digitise for our collection, please contact the managing editor, Dr Lise Mellor.

Photographs taken by the Faculty's first Dean, Professor John Smith
Photographs taken by the first Dean, Professor John Smith, between 1855 and 1870. Professor Smith preceded Professor Anderson Stuart and the formation of the Medical School in 1883. Caricatures of Medical School staff by Lionel Lindsay, 1916
In 1916, in the middle of a war, Medsoc commissioned fledgling artist and cartoonist Lionel Lindsay to produce a series of caricatures of Medical School lecturers and professors to illustrate the pages of their medical journal and other publications.
